Loved the positive energy of light bouncing off bright colours.

Painted at the outdoor Atwater Farmers’ Market where a dazzling collection of annuals were displayed announcing the end of a long winter.

Peacocks are amazingly beautiful birds!

Created specifically for this project, this piece is a gathering of thoughts, feelings, scribblings and flowers made from recycled stories and poetry.  The sewn flowers are made from hand painted pieces of original poetry that were first part of a piece in the Loft 112 Boxed Stories Gallery. The piece was about a journey through domestic violence survival and how our stories become the gardens that we grow.

Pure joy and happiness are bundled into this painting of hay bales with a blue sky.  The sun is setting over the right shoulder of the viewer and reflecting its colours in the sky - yellow, green, pinks and purple.

All the elements work together to create intention and movement. Some elements are more careful, others more organic and free-flowing, some structured, others more spontaneous.

This painting is loosely based on a photograph of the French River which is near Sudbury, Ontario.  I hoped to capture summer up north in this piece...sitting in a canoe or on a rock, feeling the sun on your face.  

This piece was painted from a photograph I took at our shoreline on Lake Huron, in Ontario.  The sparkles on the water are my favourite thing.

Pattern and colours reminiscent of a beach bag from my childhood.

Blossoms in springtime are around us everywhere and apple blossoms in particular are a sure sign of spring and the bounty that summer will provide.   The smell, color, and sheer numbers a tree displays are worthy of becoming inspiration for a painting. 

Even on dull days there is something to smile about! The children marching in the rain with their bright raincoats surely make one smile and want to join in.

A rainy day is an excuse to put on your galoshes and jump in a puddle!

They say the artist’s mind is a wide galaxy of thoughts. I paint while there is a movie or music running in the background and I let it inspire me. While I see the boat as a vehicle to cross a body of water, I imagine myself getting there, reaching the shore, and continuing what I came for. It’s an adventure.

Sunflower is a symbol of gratitude and appreciation because it represents happiness, light and love. It is the artist's favourite flower.

My bird pieces are all inspired by families of people that I love or that give me a good vibe. I love painting families of birds.

This electric town is a marriage of vivid colour and inviting landscape. Meant to pull you into its magical existence and let you stay a while and refresh.

The African Moon Moth spends most of its time just getting ready to be and once it becomes this beauty it has only seven to ten days to share its splendour.
