Fall colours dance around one of the surviving original homes in a Calgary inner-city neighbourhood.  

The protection of these parents forms a bubble of security as their offspring spreads its wings.

The reference photo for this was taken while out hiking by Blue Rock campground.  The view was amazing and seemed to reach out forever.

This Pussy willow brings to mind spring, new beginnings and hope.  I always enjoy searching back roads in Alberta to find these each spring.

There’s something so cozy about the world right after a heavy snowfall!

This piece of art is a celebration of our urban avian neighbours- in fact, this bird house is directly outside of my kitchen window. I have seen a multitude of bird families carefully scout it out each spring to prepare their nests within its safe walls.

My family always said I make nests wherever I go. The definition of nesting is " The tendency to arrange one's immediate surroundings to create a place where one feels secure, comfortable, or in control." I thought this was a beautiful concept for the project and I hope it helps to make one piece of someone else's new nest.

The beautiful colours of sunrise begin our day. Take the time to pause your thoughts and relax with our sky. With your imagination, watch shadows morph and enjoy the sound around you.

Keep Rollin’ was the painting that never ended! I stopped tracking my hours, but I guess it was 80 – 100 hours of the same repetitive techniques and colours over and over and over again. Slow and steady. It was monotonous. I titled it Keep Rollin’ because that’s exactly what I had to do to finish.
