Recently during a vacation with my family including my Mom and Dad, we went for short hike in Maligne Canyon. We started at the top end of the walk and didn’t get very far, in fact just at the “1st Bridge” we came across this view. It was my first time seeing Maligne Canyon and it was breathtaking. The summer sun was bouncing off the golds and greens of the moss lining the valley and the ruggedness of the rocky walls shadowed in purple was incredible. I had a lot of fun painting this because it incorporates one of my favorite color combinations. All that’s missing is the roar of the water and the freshness of mountain air - for those you will need to use your imagination.
