Can't Get Enough of My Tulips

Tulips bring colour to the world after a long winter.

They come with all their bright happy colours.  This painting pairs the cheerful pink of the tulips with a bright yellow background.  The canvas has an unexpected"flaw" that highlights the organic nature of the flowers (shown in a closeup).  The tulips are yet to open - they are reminiscent of the plant in Little Shop of Horrors - better feed them!

I was inspired to paint these tulips based on the purchase of a small bundle of tulips I picked up at the grocery store.  I just couldn't get enough of my tulips - and during tulip season I come home with a fresh bundle every time I go to get groceries.  I keep announcing - this will be my last tulips this year... and then I come back with more the next time!
